Role Overview:
The Marketing Associate is an entry-level execution role responsible for supporting the implementation of marketing and content activities across I-Train Africa’s brands. This role is ideal for a highly organized, proactive beginner who wants hands-on exposure to content, campaigns, partnerships, and digital marketing operations.
You will support day-to-day execution, ensure tasks move from plan to completion, and help keep marketing initiatives running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Execution Support
- Support the implementation of marketing campaigns and content plans.
- Assist in executing social media, email, and website content initiatives.
- Help track deliverables, deadlines, and weekly marketing tasks.
- Ensure assigned tasks are completed accurately and on time.
Content & Social Media Support
- Assist in content preparation (captions, basic scripts, formatting).
- Support content scheduling and publishing across social platforms.
- Help repurpose existing content into simple formats (posts, captions, visuals).
- Conduct basic content research (trends, competitors, formats).
SEO & Digital Support
- Assist with uploading blog posts and website content to CMS.
- Support basic on-page SEO tasks (formatting, internal links, metadata updates).
- Help update and refresh existing website content as guided.
Campaigns & Partnerships Support
- Support marketing efforts tied to programs, events, and partnerships.
- Assist with outreach materials, tracking responses, and follow-ups.
- Help document campaign activities and results.
Reporting & Coordination
- Assist in gathering basic performance data (engagement, reach, traffic).
- Maintain marketing trackers, content calendars, and shared documents.
- Support coordination between content, design, and marketing teams.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong willingness to learn and execute quickly.
- Good written communication and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing.
- Organized, reliable, and able to follow instructions clearly.
- Comfortable working with tools like Google Docs, Sheets, Canva, and social platforms.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, execution-driven environment.
