Role Overview
We are looking for a General Manager to own the end-to-end performance of Squads Game. You will be accountable for growth, revenue, retention, operations, and cross-functional execution across product, marketing, data, partnerships, customer experience, and compliance. This role is for a builder who can turn strategy into weekly execution, ship fast with a lean team, and consistently hit targets.
What You Will Own
- The full performance of Squads Game: acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, and margin
- Business strategy and priorities: what we build, what we ship, what we market, and why
- Go-to-market: creators, community, partnerships, campaigns, and distribution
- Product outcomes: roadmap priorities, gameplay improvements, funnel performance, and reliability
- Business operations: customer experience, payments/withdrawals flow, KYC touchpoints, fraud/risk controls
- Budgeting and forecasting inputs, and reporting performance on a consistent basis.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy and performance
- Set quarterly goals and KPIs for acquisition, activation, retention, revenue, and customer satisfaction
- Build and run the operating cadence: weekly business reviews, KPI dashboards, and sprint priorities
- Own P and L inputs and work with finance on forecasts and budget planning
Growth and marketing
- Design and execute growth loops using content, creators, communities, and partnerships
- Work closely with the marketing team to run experiments, track CAC and LTV, and scale what works
- Improve onboarding and activation flows to increase first-time play and repeat play
Products
- Translate insights into a clear product roadmap with the product and engineering team
- Improve platforms, projections, experience, contests, and social features to drive retention
- Ensure the platform is reliable, fast, and scalable during high traffic moments
Operations and customer experience
- Lead customer support performance, tooling, scripts, escalation paths, and SLAs
- Own player lifecycle operations: KYC, payments, withdrawals, disputes, and account safety
- Coordinate incident response and post-incident reviews with engineering and operations
Partnerships and platform integrity
- Manage relationships with data providers, KYC vendors, and payment partners, regulators.
- Implement controls for fair play, fraud detection, and responsible growth
- Coordinate compliance readiness and documentation in collaboration with leadership
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in roles with full ownership: GM, COO, Head of Product + Growth, Business Lead, or Founder
- Proven track record in owning metrics and delivering growth targets
- Strong analytical ability with comfort using dashboards, funnels, cohort retention, and experiment results
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and execute with clarity, speed, and high standards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- High ownership mindset and comfort operating in ambiguity
Nice to Have
- Experience in sports, gaming, consumer fintech, marketplaces, or subscription products
- Experience scaling a consumer product.
- Familiarity with identity verification, payments, chargebacks, and risk operations
- Experience working with real-time data integrations and third-party vendors
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus performance-based bonus, with equity available depending on level.
