About the Opportunity:
We are seeking someone who will support the Fleet and Terminal Operations by serving as the central communication and coordination point between Truck Drivers, Terminal Operations, Maintenance Teams, Planners, and Customers. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant movement of containers and trucks.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the primary contact point for Truck Drivers, Terminal Operations, Planners, and Customers.
Monitor daily fleet activities including container pick-up, delivery, and returns within the terminals and outside the ports.
Track trucks movements, turnaround time (TAT), and job status using customized CRM, fleet systems and GPS platforms.
Receive and log incidents such as breakdowns, accidents, delays, traffic issues, terminal access problems, or customer complaints.
Coordinate with maintenance teams, recovery units, and supervisors to minimize downtime and ensure quick resolution.
Communicate terminal instructions, loading schedules, gate-in/gate-out requirements, and safety procedures to Drivers.
Ensure Drivers comply with company’s SOPs, safety rules, and port regulations.
Escalate unresolved or critical operational issues to Assistant Fleet Managers, Planning Teams, Chief Security Officer and the Head of Transport.
Maintain accurate daily records including call logs, incident reports, delay reasons, and driver feedback.
Support planning and dispatch teams by providing real-time operational updates and exceptions.
Follow up on all reported issues until closure and proper documentation.
Receive calls from road users on complaints and bad driving.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum of OND/HND in any discipline.
Experience in Logistics, Fleet Operations, Port or Terminal Operations, or Call Centre Support is an advantage.
Basic understanding of containerized transport, trucking operations, and port environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and Fleet Tracking Systems.
Ability to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
