About the Role
The Social Media Manager position is a part-time, fully remote opportunity focused on elevating the digital presence of a leading media and streaming company within the EMEA region. This mid-level role centers on developing and executing comprehensive social media strategies tailored to diverse audiences across multiple platforms. The position plays a pivotal role in shaping brand perception, driving audience engagement, and supporting the company’s growth in a dynamic, fast-paced digital media landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and refine multi-platform social media strategies to increase brand visibility and engagement across key channels such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.
- Create, curate, and schedule compelling content—including graphics, short-form videos, stories, and live streams—aligned with the company’s brand voice and the interests of target audiences in the EMEA region.
- Monitor, analyze, and report on social media performance metrics using analytics tools, providing actionable insights to optimize campaigns and content.
- Engage proactively with followers, responding to comments, messages, and mentions to foster a vibrant and positive online community.
- Collaborate with content creators, designers, and marketing teams to coordinate cross-channel campaigns and ensure brand consistency.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging social media trends, platform updates, and best practices relevant to the media and streaming industry.
- Manage paid social campaigns, including audience targeting, budget allocation, and performance tracking, to support promotional initiatives and subscriber growth.
- Oversee social listening efforts to monitor brand sentiment, identify opportunities, and address potential issues in real time.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar, ensuring timely and strategic publication of posts aligned with key company milestones, releases, and events.
- Ensure all content adheres to copyright, privacy, and platform-specific guidelines, particularly in the context of media and streaming content.
Required Experience & Skills
- Demonstrated experience (3+ years) managing social media accounts for media, entertainment, or streaming brands, with a proven track record of growing audiences and engagement.
- Advanced proficiency in content creation tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro), and mobile video editing applications.
- Strong understanding of social media analytics platforms (e.g., Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, native platform insights) and the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt tone and messaging for diverse audiences across the EMEA region.
- Deep familiarity with the latest trends, features, and algorithms on major social platforms, especially those popular in EMEA markets.
- Experience managing paid social campaigns, including A/B testing, audience segmentation, and ROI analysis.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities in a remote, part-time setting.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain a high level of professionalism in digital interactions.
- Knowledge of copyright, intellectual property, and digital media compliance standards relevant to streaming and media content.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field is preferred.
- Additional certifications in social media management, digital marketing, or content strategy are advantageous.
- Multilingual abilities or cultural fluency within the EMEA region are considered a strong asset.
